Bicentennial School

Bicentennial School: Capital Project Update

Families,

We have an update about the building upgrades taking place at Bicentennial School.

Exterior demolition facing Thistle Street is now complete, and we’ve started to rebuild. The steel frame is currently being installed, followed by brick and then windows.

At this time, all necessary asbestos removal is complete, and has followed the Nova Scotia guidelines. If any further removal is required, families and school staff will be notified.

Classrooms will remain insulated, heated and ready for student learning during these upgrades. Although construction may be visible from your child’s classroom, we want to assure you that all work will take place outside of regular school hours.

Remember, as we receive questions, we update our FAQs. Click here to see our updated page.

We will continue to provide updates as work progresses.

If you have any questions or concerns about these projects, please contact the HRCE Operations Services Team at hrceoperations@hrce.ca.

Sincerely,

Kavita Khanna
